Videobabes At Minikino: Bandung Rendezvous
The screening will be divided into two sessions. In the first we
will see the videos taken from the 'love is ...' compilation, organized
by Videobabes end of last year in Bandung. These are videos made
spontaneously by video activists in Bandung, beginners as well as
experienced ones. The second session features the works of Videobabes'
personnel, Ariani Darmawan, Prilla Tania, and Rani Ravenina.
Through this program, a variety of video works are presented, which
in their own forms try to tell a story and lead us to see our lives.
For me there is no difference between video art and narrative video
works. Seeing them as different would only limit our own perception
of new media art and art in general.
